If tulips were to take “selfie” photos, these are what they’d look like. I came up with this concept while free-associating for an invitational juried show. Narcissus is another name for daffodil, and selfie photos are, by nature, narcissistic. Thus the “Tulip Selfies” series, created for the Anacortes Arts Festival Exhibition in April 2017, during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. These small quilts were sold to raise funds for the Anacortes Artists in Schools program.
